La
Turinière is a beautiful detached cottage set in 2.5 acres of wooded
gardens in a tranquil hamlet in Chevry.
One
hour from Caen, 1.5 hours from Cherbourg, Chevry makes an ideal
location to explore the Normandy D-Day beaches, Le Mont St. Michael
and The Bayeux Tapestry. The glorious sandy beaches of the Western
coast are only 30 minutes away.
Or just
put your feet up and relax in the garden with some bread, cheese and
your favourite bottle of wine. The garden has a BBQ. Wendy house,
swings and table tennis.
The Cottage
The
Cottage comprises: Large well equipped kitchen/breakfast room with
cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer. The comfortable living room
has Sat. TV, Video, CD, DVD, two sofas and a fully sprung sofa bed.
Also on the ground floor there is a toilet and shower room. Upstairs
there is a large double bedroom with a King-size. A small single
bedroom and a family room with a double bed and bunk beds. A cot is
available on request. There is a second bathroom and WC. There is a
laundry room with automatic washing machine and iron for those of
you with housework withdrawal symptoms. The house has full central
heating and a small wood burner for all year comfort.
Duvets, pillows and
bed linen are provided. Towels and cot linen are not provided.
Location
The
picturesque local village of Tessy-sur-vire, situated on the river
Vire, it’s banks perfect for those evening strolls, fishing or if
you have a bit more energy cycling, as it is part of the Vallèe de
Vire cycle route. There is a supermarket (8 till 8) three bread
shops, butcher, chemist, post office, three cafes, restaurants and
banks etc. There is also a tourist office and cycle hire.
The
towns of St. Lo and Vire offer large commercial zones with many of
the larger supermarket chains.
